Priority Registration Determination

Completion status of your assessment, orientation, and Student Education Plan will be listed in your CLASS-Web account under the "Check Your Priority Registration Status" link.

How to Read Priority Numbers

Example: If Priority Number is 070459:

  • First two digits (07) are the Priority Group number explained in the table below.
  • Next three digits (045) are the units completed as of the prior term, plus current term enrollment
  • Last digit (9) is a random digit.

How Registration Priority is Determined

Your registration priority group and registration date will be determined by the completion of the three Core Services (Assessment, Orientation, and Student Education Plan), the number of units completed and in-progress at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District (CLPCCD), and maintaining Good Academic Standing.

The California Community College of Board of Governors approved a policy change to establish system-wide registration priorities in an effort to improve student success. These regulations were designed to ensure that classes are available for students seeking job training, an associate degree or transfer, and to reward students who are making academic progress towards their academic goals.

Under these regulations, new students who have completed college assessment, orientation, and developed education plans, as well as continuing students in good academic standing who have not exceeded 100 units (not including units in basic English, math, or English as a Second Language), have enrollment priority over students who do not meet these criteria. Students register for courses according to an enrollment priority system as defined by the Title 5 regulations and the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District (CLPCCD).
