Orientation

The orientation was developed to introduce you to our programs, services, academic regulations, expectations, campus facilities, and student life.  It is a component of the Pathways to Success Program, which was established to assist you in meeting your educational goals.

The orientation is divided into five sections.  You will be going through the sections in order.

  1. About Chabot

  2. Student Services and Programs

  3. Academic Programs

  4. How to be a Successful Student

  5. Now that I'm oriented, What's Next?

Students who complete Orientation and other components of the Pathways to Success Program increase their priority registration number, which determines the date you get to register for your classes.  The sooner you get to register for classes the better your schedule.

Tips for completing the orientation -

  1. Visit all of the links on each page (note: links will open up in a new window, so to get back to the orientation just close the window)

  2. Make sure that you can answer the questions before you move to the next section. It is important for you to know this information!

  3. To get to the next section, hit the "What you should know about this page" link.
