New English as a Second Language (ESL) Students

The ESL assessment is for students for who are wanting to improve their English skills at Chabot College.  Please note: Chabot's ESL program starts at the intermediate level. 

New ESL student sessions are on a first come, first serve basis. No appointments needed.  The session includes the placement test, an orientation to the college's ESL program (conducted by a counselor) and course registration.

Before attending:

• Apply to the college (if you have not already done so).
• Bring a valid Photo ID.  Students will not be admitted without Photo ID.
• Arrive on time and know your Student ID #.
