Chabot College Student Satisfaction Survey: Fall 2003
Highlights
Effects of Budget Cuts

The Student Satisfaction Survey was conducted in October 2003 in a representative sample of sixty-nine
course sections and was completed by 1,560 students (55% full-time and 45% part-time).  The main purpose
of the survey was to collect student feedback on satisfaction with Chabot academic and student services,
and campus climate.  Questions were also asked about the effects of budgets cuts on the students.
The chart below displays the survey items related to budget cuts.  Nearly half of the students reported that
courses they needed were not available this year.  A slight majority of the students indicated they had to wait
a semester or more for a required course.  And because of fee increases, half the students are working more hours.
