Born to Salvadorian
parents, my first language was Spanish. I grew up bilingual speaking
English and Spanish, and I have always maintained a love for my culture
as an American and Latin American. Now, I strive to make learning
Spanish fun and engaging in an energetic learning atmosphere. I myself
also love language learning. I have studied Italian, Portuguese and
Chinese and completely love learning about different cultures by
traveling, reading about them, and having conversations with people who
speak the target language.
A little
something extra about me: I enjoy teaching community college students
since I myself got my start as one. Being the first in my family to go
to college (starting with community college), teaching here has special
significance for me.
