Election/Cultural Display on
Afghanistan: Presentation at the Library

On October 9, Afghanistan will hold its first Democratic elections. The Library provided a display in honor of this event. Students were welcomed to submit comments on the display in honor of the event.

documenting some of the restrictions imposed by the Taliban on women, such as
the requirement to wear a burqa, as well as testimony about women who
have been tortured, jailed, or murdered for not complying with Taliban law.
Some sections of the site are also in Persian and several European languages."
