Words or Phrase Search

You can enter keywords and the Library Catalog will look for a match for those terms in the records of all the items in the library.

Use a Words or Phrase search when you:

  • are doing a preliminary search and need ideas for additional search terms
  • need to combine two or more concepts
  • are searching for a phrase
  • want to see what is available in the library on your topic

"Words or Phrase" is the default setting in the right pull down menu.  You will use other options such as Author or Title if you have a more specific search need.
