Have Skills That Travel!

Okay, we now have learned how to search EBSCOhost academic search premierBut what about the other databases? Won't they look different?

Yes. But once you've learned the basics, it will be like driving a car you've borrowed from a friend. You know that there's a switch to turn on the lights or the radio--you just need to locate the controls. Even though they may look different, library subscription databases have similar features. Check for help screens or ask a librarian.

What about selecting a database by subject?  With the exception of literature and health-related topics, you will be searching the All Subjects databases and the Alternative Presses  databases.  But for more tips, go to the Resources by Subject pages and select a discipline.  On the top left under Databases, you may get more clues, including finding periodical databases on the Public World Wide Web.
