11/14/2008:  Football traveled to Laney College for the last conference game of the season losing 32 to zero.

11/8/2008:  Football hosted Cabrillo College for their fourth conference game. The score was 49-10 Chabot victorious. No stats were provided.

11/1/2008:  Football hosted Los Medanos College (LMC) for the homecoming game. This game was interesting as the rain kept pouring down on the field and players. This made it hard for both teams in trying to hold on to the ball. Overall the Chabot Gladiators stayed poised and conquered the elements and their opponents winning 38-13. There was a total of 230 yards rushing, Brandon Williams had 18 carries for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tyler Mason had 12 carries for 95 yards and 1 touchdown. Quarterback Nick Spalliero also had 15 carries for 53 yards and a touchdown. Passing yards were minimal due to rain at 5 yards giving Chabot a total offense of 235 yards. Brandon Williams had the only reception for 5 yards.

Special teams
Tyler Mason had a kick off return for a touchdown of 90 yards.
Grant Bordalampe had 2 punt returns for 37 yards.

Defense
4 forced fumble and 4 recovered fumbles

Tiquan Payne had 3 solo, 5 assists for a total of 8 tackles, Travis Stansbury had 6 solo, 1 assist for a total of 7 tackles, Daryl Pasut had 4 solo, 2 assist for a total of 6 tackles, Terrill Vinson had 2 solo tackles and the only sack for Chabot.
 

10/25/2008:  Football traveled to Modesto in conference play. This was a big game as both teams come in undefeated in conference and for 1st place in conference standings. The Chabot Gladiators came in with intensity and energy with players flying around on special teams and offense showing composure in protecting the ball and scoring. Defense showed tenacity, but the Modesto offensive exposed a weakness in the secondary and kept picking on it. The Chabot Gladiators had one last drive to take the lead, but on a controversial call by the referees that drive was ended on an Offensive pass interference. Chabot loses to Modesto 38-43.

10/18/2008:  Football hosted Merced College in a league opener. Chabot comes in with a disappointing loss to College of the Redwoods and hoping to bounce back on the winning track. Chabot easily takes the win from Merced with the score of 28-18.
Top rushing performances from QB Thomas Lanto with 1 carry for 19 yards.
Top Passing performance from QB Thomas Lanto with 24 passing attempts- 13 receptions- 0 interceptions for a total of 295 yards and 1 touchdown.
Top Receivers: Roy Polk had 7 catches for 164 yards and 1 TD, Lee Pinkston had 2 catches for 70 yards, and Brandon Williams had 1 catch for 47 yards.
Kick returner Matt Parker had 3 kick returns for a total of 140 yards with a 74 yard long kick return.

10/11/2008:  Football traveled to College of the Redwoods (CR) in Eureka. This is the last pre-season game for the Gladiators and hoped to start league with a winning record. Chabot started the game a little flat giving CR 12 points in the first half. After some encouraging words from the coaches, Chabot came out motivated scoring a touchdown with Brandon Williams 45 yard run. The Gladiator defense buckled down a bit stopping the CR offense and giving the Chabot offense the ball back. The Gladiators converge on change of possession with a 41 yard playaction pass to Stephen Keshi for the touchdown and the lead. CR once again takes the lead and extends it by two scores as the Gladiators are pushed up against the wall. Like a Gladiator the team fought back scoring another 12 yard pass touchdown from Tyler Mason putting the game in a one score reach for the Glads. With Chabot having the last possession of the game losing 22-27. The offense made a fighting effort with many missed opportunities to win the game. The game was ended with the Gladiator Quarterback sacked and Chabot's third loss for the season.

9/27/2008:  Football hosted # 2 in Norcal Foothill College. The gladiators fought hard scoring first with a fieldgoal giving Chabot a 3-0 lead in the first quarter. After that it was a deadlock until midway through the second quarter when Foothill manages its way down field a score a touchdown on a 9 yard pass. Foothill then manages again to score a touchdown on a 14 yard pass giving them the lead 14-3. Halftime score Chabot 3 Foothill 28. 3rd quarter Chabot makes a run and scores a touchdown on a 9 yard pass from Nick Spalliero to Lee pinkston Chabot 9 Foothill 28. The second half was back and forth with an end result of Chabot 17 Foothill 42.

9/20/08:  Football traveled to San Jose City College for an important game after losing a close one last week. Chabot slayed the Jaguars 46-19 with a total offense of 348 yards and total defense of 199 yards allowed. Overall a great performance on both side of the field. Total offense was contributed by Quarterback Markus Roberson with 16 passing attempts- 10 completions-no interceptions-155 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. QB Nick Spalliero added 2 attempts-1 completion- 0 interceptions for 17 yards and 1 touchdown.

Roy Polk had 6 receptions for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns

9/13/08:  Football visited College of San Mateo (CSM) for a tough non conference game. The Gladiators defense was relentless and forced CSM to give up a safety giving Chabot the lead 2-0. At halftime CSM lead the game 14-2, but the Gladiators were not giving up and are determined to fight until the end. Chabot managed to score once more on a fumble recovery to make it a 6 point game. Chabot comes up short losing the ball game 14-9. Offense put up 197 yards, 78 yards rushing and 119 yards passing. Brandon Thompson had 13 carries for 63 yards of rushing. Nick Spalliero had 8 catches for 22 attempts, 2 interceptions and 113 yards. Roy Polk had 3 catches for 63 yards and Lee Pinkston had 1 catch for 34 yards.   The defense held CSM to only 183 yards of total offense, sacking the quarterback 3 times form Durrell Finch, Gideon Silafau, and Terrill Vinson.

9/6/08:  Football hosted the West Valley College Vikings on a wonderful night. The Gladiators have worked hard during practice to get to this point and it paid off. The Gladiators pummeled the viking in a lopsided win of 60-26. Offense was working their magic with running and passing plays. Total offense yards tallied at 536 with 356 coming from the ground and 180 from the air. Out of those rushing yards Brandon Williams carried the ball 12 times for 139 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. Brandon Thompson also added 9 carries for 68 yards and 2 touchdowns. Starting QB Nick Spalliero threw 5 completion of 6 attempts for 101 yards and 2 touchdown passes. Reciever Roy Polk caught 2 passes for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Defense showed that they are a force to be reckoned with despite the offside calls the defense held the Vikings offense to only 234 yards. Defensive back Anthony Ragsdale contributed an interception and ran it back 82 yards for a touchdown. Darryl Hughes also intercepted the ball, but could not advance due to catching it on the ground. Overall the Gladiators played Football and were very exciting to watch because of their energy and hunger for the win.


11/10/2007:  Football traveled to Salinas, Ca for the last game of the season against Hartnell College. Chabot won in an overwhelming score of 45-14.

11/3/2007:  Football hosted Los Medanos College Mustangs and lost a tough one with a score of 28-34. This gives the Gladiators a conference record of 1-3 and an overall record of 3-6.

10/27/2007:  Football visited Modesto Junior College and lost 40-63.

10/20/2007:  Football hosted West Valley College for their homecoming game and demolished them 35-16.

10/13/2007:  Football hosted Diablo Valley College, which is said to be the conference champion game. This game a defensive game in which Chabot led the half with 3 points. In the end DVC won with a score of 28-21.

9/29/07:  Football traveled to San Francisco City College #6 ranked team in Norcal for a tough game. The Gladiators started off scoring the first touchdown of the game. The Gladiators battled until the end, but fell short losing 49-23.

9/21/07:  Football traveled to Laney College for a tough game. The gladiators fought hard, but came up short losing 35-20.

9/15/2007:  Football hosted Contra Costa College with a hope to bounce back from an overwhelming defeat last week. Chabot showed that despite last weeks debacle, they are a force to be reckoned with. They punished Contra Costa beating them in an overwhelming score of 70-34.

9/8/07:  Football hosted College of San Mateo for their home opener. The Gladiators lost 20-49 giving them a record of 1-1 for the season.

9/1/07:  Football traveled to Merced College for the season opener. First two quarters the weather was a factor against Chabot's playing abilities. Many player were feeling the heat and were not acclimated to that type of playing environment. After the halftime, the sun had set and the temperature was much cooler. The Gladiators kicked it up a notch through out the rest of the game giving them the season opener win 29-22 over Merced College


11/11/06:  The Chabot football team hosted Hartnell College in their last season game. Chabot played up to their potential demolishing the Panthers 44-7. Randal Eldridge gained a total of 141 yrds of rushing and scored 1 touchdown. Quarterback Eric Carrillo had 9 completion of 12 attempts for 158 yrds and 3 touchdown passes. Overall Chabot played great offensively and defensively.

11/7/06:  Football @ Diablo Valley College was a championship game. The winner would become the conference champ because both teams came in with a 3-0 record. This game was played like a championship game should be played with each team battling to take the lead. The lead was exchanged a couple of time, but the game ended in atie 42-42. The game went into overtime, in which each team had one opportunity to score starting from the 25 yard line. DVC went first and only took three downs to score a touchdown and PAT giving them the lead 49 -42. Chabot was next and scored in four plays putting the score at 48-49. During the PAT Kick there was a false start putting the Gladiators back another five yards. Jarrett Huk's kick was low and blocked by a DVC defender giving the DVC team the victory in overtime 49-48. The DVC football team are crowned conference champions despite one more game in conference play.

10/31/06:  Last Saturday the Chabot Football team traveled to West Valley College for a must win situation to a closer look at the conference championship. West Valley had hopes of coming out with a win, but the chabot defense shutdown their offense only letting them score 7 points, while the Chabot offense lead by Eric Carrillo putting up 17 points to win the game. Randal Eldridge was his usual self putting up good rushing yards and the receiver made key catches. This win puts the Chabot football team one game closer to a conference champion. This Friday the team will face an undefeated in conference Diablo Valley College team, in which the winner of this game would still be undefeated in conference and most likely be conference champions. Come join this eventful day in supporting your football team

10/23/06:  Last Saturday was full of excitement with football homecoming. At 1 pm there was food, music, games, and a softball alumni game.
Football faced a tough Modesto College team. The game was very exciting in which the Gladiators beat Modesto 40-35. Eric Carrillo earned the sport of starter this game and was no disappointment. He excelled with 11 completion out of 14 attempts 162 yrds one touchdown and one interception. Another ever elusive player was Randal Eldridge rushing for a total of 155 yrds on 32 attempts and two touchdowns. Randal also received two passes for 17 yrds and one touchdown. Overall Offense step it up a notch in a well balanced win over the Modesto Pirates.

10/16/06:  Football visited Los Medanos for their season conference opener beating them 21-10.

10/2/06:  Football lost this Saturday 14-28 against the number one team in the state, College of San Francisco. The Gladiators performance improved from the last game. The Gladiator defense gave up 366 yds of total offense and put up 271 yds of offense against a power house team. I was impressed with the Chabot football team performance.

9/25/06:  Last Saturday the Chabot Football team lost a well fought game. Laney put the only touchdown in the first quarter. This was a defensive game where Laney was limited to only 210 yds of total offense, but Chabot struggled only putting up 171 yds of total offense. Randall Eldridge was phenomenal putting up 130 yds of rushing. It was until the last seconds of the fourth quarter when Laney gave up a Safety giving Chabot its only 2 points of the game. Attendance for Chabot did not come close to Laney's. For those that showed support the entire athletics department thank you.

9/18/06:  After a pour showing at San Mateo, The chabot Gladiator football team turn the page and punished the Contra Costa Comets. Defense had a great game picking off the Comets Quarterback 7 times with one interception return for touchdown by Andy Cabianca. Offense is still not clicking the way coach Cal would like them to. There were some great plays, for instance, Nick Segura gives a 69 yrd pass for a touchdown to Doug Cech, giving a bigger lead for the glads.

The final score was Chabot 31- Contra Costa 13

9/11/06:  Chabot Football faced a tough San Mateo squad. San Mateo beat American River last week 41- 7. San Mateo has always been a tough and hard opponent to beat. Chabot put up a good fight, but ended up losing the battle.

11/14/05:  The Chabot Football Team played against Laney College for the Conference Championships last Friday night.
Chabot lost in a close game by a score of 24 - 19.

11/7/05:  Chabot Football Team won this weekend against Diablo Valley College. Chabot won 54 - 24. Chabot special Teams unit did a great job blocking three kicks, one resulted into a touchdown and one that was returned for two points.
Kicker Taylor Richardson added four field goals.

10/31/05:  Chabot Football Team won this weekend against West Valley College by a score of 21 - 12.
Chabots touchdowns came from a pass from quarterback Nick Segura to Steve Johnson and the other two touchdowns came from running back Cory Williams.
Congratulations to the Chabot Football Team!!! Conference Record now: 2 - 1. Overall Record: 4 - 4

10/24/05:  Chabot College Football Team lost this weekend to Modesto College 41 - 42. The game came down to the final :32 seconds when Modesto kicked a 32 - yard field goal to win the game. Quarterback Nick Segura threw four touchdown passes. Three of those touchdowns were passes to Chabot's Steve Johnson and the other was a run by Chabot's Randall Eldridge.

10/17/05: 
Chabot Football Team played here Saturday night against Los Mendanos college and beat them 42 - 6. Chabots defense collected three fumbles and made two safeties. The first touchdown came with a pass from quarterback Brandon Roesler to Steve Johnson in the corner of the end zone. Next Chabot scored a safety against Los Mendanos. The second touchdown came on a 61 yard drive and ending with a 3 yard pass from Roelsler to Cory Williams with :33 seconds left in the half. Then on our third touchdown, Chabots running back Lamarcus Russell scored on a 15 yard run and Taylor Richardson connected on a 25 yard Field goal to give Chabot a 25 - 0 lead. Then Chabot scored 17 consecutive points in a span of 1:46.

10/3/05:  Chabot Football Team played Merced last weekend at Merced. Chabot won by a score of 21 - 9. Chabot fell behind early in the game but came back to tie the game in the second quarter with a pass from quarterback Roesler to Steve Johnson on the 4th down. On Chabots very next drive, again on 4th down, quarterback Roesler threw another pass to Steve Johnson for another touchdown to give Chabot the lead 14 - 7. Right before the half, Chabot scored one more time with a pass from Quarterback Roesler this time to Paul Simpson to give Chabot a two touchdown lead. Late in the game Merced scored a safety on chabot to make the final score 21 - 9.

Chabot Football Team will have a Bye this week!!! But will play Los Mendanos at Chabot on Saturday, October 15. Game Time: 7:00 p.m.

9/27/05:  Chabot Football Team lost on Saturday to Foothill College by a score of 41 - 14. Chabot's receiver Steve Johnson and back Cory Williams were the bright spots for Chabot. Steve Johnson total 64 yards on four catches and scored two touchdowns. While Cory Williams ran for 104 yards on 21 attempts.
Next Game for Chabot will be against Merced College at Merced on Saturday, October 1. Game Time: 6:00 p.m.

9/19/05:  Chabot Football Team did a good job this past weekend in their Home coming game against San Jose City College. Chabot won 42 - 3. In the first half Chabot's Faumuina scored the first touchdown with a run and the second touchdown was scored by an 82 yard interception by Chabot's Dominic Duran. In the second half, Chabot held San Jose to a scoreless half. Also Tau Faumuina scored two more touchdowns. Quarterback Brandon Roesler connected with Steve Johnson on a 10 yard scoring strike and E. T. Tolentino scored from 1 yard out to give Chabot its 42 - 3 win.

9/12/05:  Chabot Football Team played Fresno City College this past weekend at Fresno. Chabot lost 36 - 6. Fresno is ranked 5th in the State and ran up 459 yards against Chabot College. Chabot had only a total of 221 yards. Chabot now 0 - 2 will play against San Jose City College on Saturday, Sept. 17. This will be Chabot Home coming Game. Game Time: 3:00 p.m.

9/3/05:  Chabot Football opened up its season with their first game at home against College of San Mateo. Chabot scored 14 points but not enough to win the game. San Mateo scored 21 points and held the lead from the beginning till the end of the game. Next game for the Chabot Football Team is next Saturday against Fresno City College at Fresno. Game Time: 3:00 p.m. Good Luck to the Chabot Football Team!!!


11/27/04:  Chabot Football team played in their Bowl game over the weekend against Sierra College. Chabot lost 31 -16. Still Chabot had a good year. Congratulations to Chabot Football Team!!!

11/13/04:  Chabot Football team beat Laney College in a great game Saturday, Nov. 13 at Chabot. Chabot fell behind early but managed to come back quick in the first quarter and then never looked back after that. The score of the game was 44 - 34. Chabot now looking forward for a Bowl game. Congratulation to Chabot Football team.

11/6/04:  Chabot football team played against Diablo Valley College and beat them by a score of 40 -25. With this win Chabot become League Champion. Chabot started off the first 10 minutes of the game down 14 - 0. Then Chabot came back and dominated the rest of the football game. Congratulations to Chabot Football Team. League Champions!!!

10/29/04:  Chabot Football team won another conference game this last Friday against West Valley College. the score was 28 - 21. The Chabot Defense had a great game, keeping West Valley Offense from scoring many times. Great job!!!

10/23/04:  Football Team beat Modesto College 34 - 6. Chabot led through the entire game. This game was important not only because it was a conference game but also because it was Chabot Home Coming game. So Congratulation to Chabot Football Team on winning. Conference Record: 2 - 0.

10/16/04:  Football won against Los Medanos College at Los Medanos by a score of 41 - 31. This was Chabot first conference game. Chabot is now 4 - 2 overall. Conference Record 1 - 0.

10/2/04:  Chabot Football team had a great weekend beating Merced College 40 - 17. Chabot started off little slow and actually was behind when the first half was over. The score was 17 - 14.  But when the second half came around Chabot was ready to play. They came out and dominated the second half. Ending the game with a score of 40 - 17.  Chabot running back Tauese Faumuina came out hot and ran for a couple of touchdowns. And the Defense did a great job!  Congratulation to the football team. Record now 3 - 2.

9/25/04:  Chabot College Football Team upset Northern California 3rd ranked Foothill College with a score of 21 - 14 this last Saturday night. The Chabot Defense did a great job. Chabot now with a record of 2 - 2 will look forward to playing their next game against Merced College here at Chabot. Saturday, Oct. 2 at 7:00 p.m. Congratulation to the Chabot Football Team.

9/18/04:  Chabot football team won its first game beating San Jose City College 41 - 21. Chabot led the first half 21 - 7, then in the second half added more points to the score. Chabot record now 1 - 2.

9/11/04:  Football lost against Fresno City College 37 - 7. The game was a good game in the first half, but then Fresno started scoring a lot more in the second half and ran the score up on us because of our turn over.
