11/13/09:  Volleyball hosted West Valley College and lost in 3 sets.

11/11/2009:  Volleyball traveled to Hartnell College for game two in conference. Chabot has already beaten Hartnell at home and tries to take another from Hartnell, but the lady Panthers denied that feat. Chabot loses the match in 4 sets (26-24, 13-25, 23-25, 14-25).

11/6/09:  Volleyball hosted Monterey Peninsula College and beat them in 3 sets.

11/4/2009:  Volleyball traveled to Gavilan College for a chance to even the score, but came up short losing in 3 sets.

10/23/09:  Volleyball traveled to West Valley College and lost in 3 sets.

10/21/2009:  Volleyball hosted Hartnell College and beat them in 5 sets.

10/16/09:  Volleyball visited Monterey Peninsula College (MPC) in there second game in conference. Chabot bounces back after losing to Gavilan and dominates MPC winning the match in 3 sets (25-23, 29-27, 25-14).

10/14/09:  Volleyball hosted Gavilan College in the conference opener losing in 3 sets (17-25, 18-25, 15-25). Tootsie Aliifua had 10 kills and 3 digs.

10/9/09:  Volleyball hosted Skyline college in a conference match. Chabot saw Skyline as another obstacle that they easily conquered. Chabot beats Skyline in a one sided result 3 sets to zero (25-17, 25-9, 25-21). The Chabot volleyball team is playing at the highest level in the league increasing their win streak to 12 straight and an overall record of 12-4.

10/7/2009:  Chabot volleyball continues to carry their momentum winning 10 straight games and increasing their lead in the standings. They hosted San Jose City College in a dog fight, in which the lady Gladiators came out on top slaying the lady Jaguars in 5 sets 3-2 (23-25, 26-24, 25-11, 19-25, 15-5). Christa Hicks lead the game with 15 kills and 19 digs. Tootsie Aliifua added 12 kills and 10 digs.

10/2/09:  Volleyball visited Ohlone College for a conference match and a chance to increase their win streak to five. The Lady Gladiators easily beat Ohlone in 3 sets increasing their win streak to 5 in row and an overall record of 10-4.

9/30/2009:  Volleyball hosted Yuba College to finish off their preseason. The Lady Gladiators have momentum coming into the game and showed no hesitation in slowing down that momentum as the take it to Yuba in 3 sets (25-18, 25-19, 25-15). Sara Snow, Tootsie Aliifua, Amanda Meyer, and Christa Hicks all had 8 kills.

9/29/09:  Volleyball visited Marin for a non-conference match and easily won in 3 sets (25-23, 25-15, 25-22) Sara Snow lead the team with 13 kills and 12 digs.

9/25/2009:  Volleyball hosted West Hills College and beat them in 3 stets in a record time of 55minutes.

9/15/2009:  Volleyball hosted Los Medanos College and cruised with the win. Chabot won the match in 4 sets (25-14, 25-16, 19-25, 25-12).

9/15/09:  Volleyball hosted Los Medanos College and cruised with the win. Chabot won the match in 4 sets (25-14, 25-16, 19-25, 25-12).

 9/9/09:  Volleyball hosted Columbia College winning the match in 5 sets.

9/2/09:  Last Wednesday volleyball traveled to Merced college and lost in a heartbreaker 5 set match, 19-25, 27-52, 25-22, 25-27, 15-11. The girls fought hard but just couldn't quite pull it out.

Friday we traveled to Modesto for the MJC Tournament. Match one we beat Modesto 25-18, 24-26, 25-16, 24-26, 15-11, match 2 we beat Solano 25-16, 26-24, 26-24, and then in the championship match we lost to DVC 22-25, 16-25, 12-25. It was a heartbreaker with a lot of unfortunate situations on and off the court. In the girls pulled off a 2nd place finish out of 8 teams.


12/8/08:  Congratulation to Freshman Christa Hicks and Sophmore Irene Takahashi-Coker for deserving Volleyball All Conference team.

11/19/2008:  Volleyball traveled to Foothill College for their last game of the season with hopes of spoiling Foothill's Playoff ranks. The lady Gladiators battled hard, but Foothill was better than Chabot. The lady Gladiators lost in three sets with the scores of 17-25, 18-25, 19-25. Top Chabot performers were Christa Hicks with 16 kills 10 digs and 2 blocks giving her a double double for the day. Sara Snow also added 8 kills, 13 digs, and an ace.

11/12/2008:  Volleyball hosted Skyline College and beat them in an easy 3 sets to zero. (25-22,25-21,25-22) Christa Hicks had 8 kills, 2 blocks, and 4 digs. While Amanda Meyer added 5 kills and 2 blocks of her own.

11/11/2008:  Volleyball traveled to Monterey Peninsula College (MPC) for a rescheduled match. Chabot loses in 4 sets, 1-3 (23-25,17-25, 25-22,22-25) Christa Hicks had 9 kills and 6 digs

11/5/2008:  Volleyball hosted De Anza College in a conference match and a chance to get over .500 in league play. The lady Gladiators started of on teh good foot winning the first set 25-21. De Anza answers back by winning the second set 20-25 to tie the match at 1 set a piece. Chabot continues to play hard winning the next 2 sets and the match with 3 sets to 1. Top performers for Chabot included Christa Hicks with 14 kills, 12 blocks, and 6 digs. Amanda Meyer added 8 kills and 2 blocks.

10/28/2008:  Volleyball traveled to City College of San Francisco (CCSF) for the second match of conference play. Chabot beat CCSF at home and hoping to make two this season. The lady Glads did not accomplish that goals losing in 4 sets with scores of 10-25,25-22,12-25,21-25. (No stats were provided)

10/24/08:  Volleyball hosted Foothill College for another tough match for the week. The lady Glads are in hopes of bouncing back and beating Foothill. Chabot started off with fire in their bellies taking it to Foothill winning the 1st set with a score of 25-16, but the fire is quickly controlled by Foothills composure and they take the second game 25-18. The third game was a close game, but Foothill had momentum winning the 3rd set 21-25. The 4th set the Foothill squad extinguished that fire by beating the lady Glads with a score of 15-25 to win the match in 4 sets. Top performers were Christa Hicks with 13 kills and 2 aces. Chabot record is 8-7 and are 4th in conference standings.

10/22/2008:  Volleyball traveled to Gavilan College for a non-conference match. The lady Gladiators lose in four sets with scores of 15-25, 23-25, 25-22, 14-25. No Stats were provided.

10/8/2008:  Volleyball hosts Monterey Peninsula College (MPC) in a tough conference match. The lady Gladiators start off on the good foot winning the first set, but the lose the next set. The Lady Gladiators rally back and take the third set and a chance to take the match from MPC in the fourth set, but come up short losing the fourth set and taking the match to five sets, in which the lady Gladiators lose in the fifth set to lose the match. (No stats were Provided).

9/24/2008:  Volleyball hosted Merced College. After easily winning the first two sets, the lady gladiators found themselves struggling in finishing off Merced. Merced climbs back to win two straight sets and then edges out Chabot for the match. (25-20, 25-20, 22-25, 27-29, 13-15). Irene Takahashi-Coker had 21 digs, 3 kills, and an ace while Christa Hick had a double double tallying 18 killls, 13 digs, and 5 aces.

 9/20/2008:  Volleyball traveled to Butte College for a tournament. Chabot faces host team Butte College and lose in 3 sets. Later that day Chabot would face College of the Redwoods and bounce back to win the match in 4 sets (No Stats were provided).

9/17/2008:  Volleyball hosted arch rival school Ohlone College Renegades. The Lady Gladiators came out with intensity and showed no mercy winning the match in an easy 3 sets. (No stats were Provided).

9/13/2008:  Volleyball commenced their second day of tournament play at Delta college facing a tough Butte College Team. The lady Gladiators lost in 3 sets. The lady gladiators would then face Yuba City College and lost in a close match 2 sets to 3sets.

9/12/08:  Volleyball traveled to Delta College for their first day of tournament play. Their first opponent was College of the Siskiyous and lost. The lady Gladiators bounced back and won their second match to give them a chance to play the second day of tournament play.

9/10/2008:  Volleyball hosted West Hills College in non conference match and a chance to keep the win streak going, but the Lady Gladiators came up short losing in 3 sets. (No stats were provided)

9/3/08:  the Volleyball team was preparing for their match that same evening against San Jose City College (SJCC). The lady Gladiators came out with energy and determination to beat SJCC. First set the lady Gladiators won it with no hesitation in mind 25-8, and the lost the second set in a close 24-26 set. Then the lady Gladiators bounced back and took the next two sets 25-16, 27-25 for the match and another win for their record. The volleyball team record is 3 wins 0 losses.


11/7/2007:  Volleyball hosted De Anza College and lost in 4 games 30-26, 15-30, 21-30, 23-30.

11/2/2007:  Volleyball hosted Monterey Peninsula College losing in 4 games 30-20, 21-30, 18-30, 27-30.

10/26/2007:  Volleyball traveled to Skyline College and lost in three games 24-30, 20-30, 19-30. Record : Conference 0-6, Overall 6-13

10/24/2007:  Volleyball traveled to City College of San Francisco and lost in three game 30-32, 28-30, 25-30.

10/19/2007:  Volleyball hosted Feather River College losing in 4 games 18-30, 19-30, 30-24, 25-30.

10/17/2007:  Volleyball traveled across the bay and faced Foothill College losing in three games 23-30, 18-30, 25-30.

10/6/07:  Volleyball visited Monterey Peninsula College and lost in 3 games 21-30, 9-30, 18-30.

10/3/2007:  Volleyball hosted Skyline College losing the match in 3 games 12-30, 20-30, 7-30.

9/28/07:  Volleyball Traveled to West Hills College and won in 4 games 23-30, 33-31, 30-28, 32-30. Kassidy Rowley had 16 kills, 3 aces, and 8 digs. Brittney Alexander had 7 kills, 23 assists, and 6 digs of her own.

9/26/07:  Volleyball hosted San Francisco City College for a tough conference match. The Ladies fought hard, but came up short losing in 4 games 30-32, 28-30, 30-14, 26-30. Stellar performances by Laura Zimbrick with 16 kills and 4 blocks, also Brittney Alexander put up 28 assists, 8 aces, and 7 kills.

9/22/07:  Volleyball hosted Butte College in a non conference match. Chabot played well beating Butte 30-25, 30-18, 33-31.

9/21/07:  Volleyball traveled to Ohlone College which turned out to be a long match of 5 games. Chabot ended up beating Ohlone 30-20, 19-30, 26-30, 31-29, 15-9.

9/18/07:  Volleyball hosted Hartnell College Panthers in a conference match. Chabot started off strong and never let up. The lady Gladiators cruised to an easy victory 30-17, 30-16, 30-9. Laura Zimbrick led the Gladiators with 9 kills, a block, and an ace. Kassidy Rowley also contributed 7 kills, 1 block, and 10 aces.

9/12/2007:  Volleyball hosted Gavilan College beating them in an exciting 5 games. The Ladies lost the first game 28-30, but bounced back winning the next two 30-28 and 31-29. The fourth game Gavilan dominated the court winning 24-30 over Chabot, pushing the match into the 5th game. The team to reach 15 points first and win by two would be the winner for the match. The last game was close with both teams battling each other for the victory. It was a close call for Chabot when the score was 14-13 Gavilan serving for the match point, but the lady Gladiators battled back winning the next two point to give them the lead 15-14. Chabot eventually won the match 17-15.

9/7/07:  Volleyball Traveled to Modesto JC for tournament play. 1st opponent was Modesto and a chance to redeem themselves. The team took the first game 30-16, but lost the next 3 to lose the match 20-30, 27-30, 27-30. Next opponent was Cabrillo College losing in 3 straight 18-30, 14-30, 21-30. last opponent for the tournament was Merced losing in 4 games 30-22, 14-30, 28-30, 12-15.

9/5/07:  Volleyball hosted their 1st home match against Modesto Junior College (MJC) losing in three close games 22-30, 27-30, 26-30.

9/1/07:  Volleyball traveled to Yuba College for a tournament in which the lady Gladiators placed third overall. On the way to 3rd place they defeated Umpqua in 2 games 30-20, 30-25. They also beat the host school Yuba College in 2 games 30-28, 30-28. Lassen was the next opponent on the bracket that Chabot beat in 3 games 30-20, 29-31, 17-15. The lady Gladiators are in the semifinals against Reedly College where the ladies hit a speed bump losing in 2 games 23-30, 28-30 and out of the final, but a chance for 3rd place where they beat Lassen again in 3 games 30-24, 10-30, 15-12. The volleyball team is off to a great start this week winning 5 matches out 7.

8/3/07:  Volleyball traveled South to San Luis Obispo to face a veteran Cuesta College team. Cuesta Has 7 returning players as opposed to Chabot's 3 returning players. Chabot has a young team, but the potential to win some games. Chabot loses to Cuesta in 3 games 18-30, 21-30, 21-30. After a wait Chabot faced up against Allen Hancock College beating them in 5 games 30-32, 18-30, 30-27, 32-30, 19-17.


11/20/06:  Last Wednesday Chabot Volleyball visited Hartnell. Last time these two teams faced off, Hartnell beat the Gladiators in 3 games. Chabot came into the game with a vengeance. The team played better than they had all year because they had nothing to lose. They played their hearts out and it paid off. Chabot beat Hartnell in 4 games 30-22, 30-24, 26-30, 30-19. Stephanie Anderson contributed 14 kills, 12 digs, and 3 aces. Tiennefer Rowe added 15 kills, 5 digs, and 3 blocks, and finally Lyndsey Mietz contributed her defense with 12 digs and 2 aces.

11/13/06:  Volleyball hosted a tenacious Gavilan team on last Wed. The ladies played their hearts out. In the end the team lost in four games.

11/7/06:  Wednesday was a usual Volleyball night. The lady Gladiators hosted Monterey Peninsula College losing the match in 5 games. 1st game the lady Gladiators dominated the Lobos beating them 30-18. 2nd game was similar with a win of 30-24. The night started off with Chabot dominating the Lobos, but the Lobos turned things around beating the Gladiators in game 3 21-30. The 4th game the Gladiators some how ran out of steam losing 22-30. It came down to the last game in determining the winner of the match. Unfortunately, the Gladiators could not finish losing the last game and match 11-15.

Friday, Volleyball faced a second place De Anza team losing in three games 15-30, 24-30, & 17-30 making their night short.

10/31/06:  Last Tuesday Women Volleyball played their respective opponents.  the Volleyball team was at home against a tough foothill squad. The team fought hard losing the battle in three games.

Last Friday, Volleyball traveled to City College of San Francisco Beating them in 5 games. The Lady gladiators were down two games to zero (24-30, 20-30). The third game was a turnaround for the match, in which they won the last three games to come out with the victory ( 30-22, 30-20, & 16-14). Tiennifer Rowe provided 15 kills and 4 blocks, while Stephanie Anderson also tallied 15 kills, 3 aces, and 10 digs, Kassidy Rowley also contributed some offense with 13 kills and 2 aces, and Katie Enns played extremely well provided 42 assists, 2 aces, and 2 blocks for a great win.

10/23/06:  Volleyball played Skyline College beating them in four games last Tuesday. In Game one, the lady Gladiators were down 21-29 until Katie Enns began a serving rally giving the Chabot Gladiators 10 unanswered point to take away game one 31-29. Game two the lady Gladiators lost 25-30, only to rally back to win game three (30-28) and four (30-27) to win the match. Kassidy Rowley had a total of 9 kills and 2 aces, while Stephanie Anderson added 12 kills and 2 aces and Tiennefer Rowe also had 11 kills and 2 aces.

On last Friday, Volleyball went up against a tenacious Hartnell Team where there was many rallies between the teams. The match was exciting to watch, but the lady Gladiators lost a heartbreaker in 5 games.

10/16/06:  Volleyball played De Anza College losing the match in three games.

10/10/06:  Volleyball comfronted CCSF on Wednesday losing in three games, then they went to Monterey Peninsula College losing the match in a hard fought 5 games.

10/2/06:  Volleyball lost both games last week. Foothill won in three games: 16-30, 22-30, 14-30. Cuesta won in three games: 17-30, 11-30, 22-30.

9/25/06:  Volleyball Had away matches last week against San Jose City and Sierra. The volleyball team lost against San Jose City in three games. On Friday, the volleyball team played great taken the match to five games but ended up losing the match in a close final game.

9/18/06:  Volleyball had two home matches this week against West Valley and Canada.

9/11/06:  Volleyball had another weekend tournament to prepare for league play.
This weekend the VB team went to Modesto JC and faced Modesto, Ohlone, and Solano.
First Match against Modesto was hard fought, but the lady Gladiators came up short. Scores were 26-30, 32-30, 7-30, and 22-30. Stats: Kassidy Rowley, Tiennefer Rowe, and Stephanie Anderson each had 6 kills. Kassidy also had 2 blocks, 6 digs, and 8 aces. Stephanie also had 12 digs.
Second match against Ohlone the Lady Gladiators came out with a win. Scores 30-20, 30-17, and 30-25. Stats: Stephanie Anderson had 7 kills, 5 digs, and 6 aces. Kassidy Rowley had 6 kills and 3 aces
Final Match against Solano. Scores 11-30, 17-30, and 16-30 losing al three game to win third in the tournament.
Stats: Stephanie Anderson had 7 Kills and 1 ace
 

9/5/06:  Volleyball had another tournament out at Yuba City College.
First game the volleyball team played Solano college losing the game 23-30, 23-30.
Second game the team played Siskiyous losing the game 29-31, 26-30.
Third game the team played Reedley losing the game 24-30, 7-30.
The final game was against Lassen losing the game 22-30, 28-30.
Overall the girls played well and have plenty of room for improvement.


11/21/05:  The Women Volleyball Team won on Wednesday against Hartnell, 30-20, 30-28, 30-24. It was the last match of the season. With this win Chabot placed third in Conference. Chabot had two girls make all conference this season, Katie Perry and Marshel Williams.

Congratulations to the Women Volleyball Team and to Katie Perry and Marshel Williams on making all Conference.
 

11/14/05:  The Chabot Women Volleyball Team play against DeAnza College also Last Friday night. Chabot lost in Four games: 25-30, 25-30, 34-32, 29-31. This lost puts Chabot Volleyball into 3rd place in the Conference.

11/10/05:  Chabot Women Volleyball Team play last night against West Valley College. Chabot lost in three games:
21 - 30, 17 -30 and 20 -30. Chabot will play again on Friday night, Nov.11 against DeAnza College
at Chabot. Game Time: 6:30 p.m. Friday night is our last home game and we will be honoring our sophomores. We are also playing our rivals, DeAnza and if Chabot wins then Chabot will be tied for second place. Its a big game for the Women Volleyball Team

11/7/05:  The Chabot Women Volleyball Team won on Friday night against Skyline College.
The scores were 30-23, 30-14, 30-27.

11/3/05:  Chabot Women Volleyball Team lost last night against City College of San Fransisco in four hard fought games 25-30, 30-27, 26-30, 28-30.

10/31/05:  The Chabot Women Volleyball Team played Monterey Peninsula College here last Friday, Oct. 28.
Chabot won on in three games: 30-23, 30-17, 30-18.

10/24/05:  Chabot Women Volleyball team played Friday, against Hartnell and won in three games 30-13, 30-26, 30-21

Saturday Chabot lost to Santa Rosa in three 19-30, 11-30, 14-30
And also lost to West Valley in three 16-30, 16-30, 25-30

10/20/05:  Women Volleyball Team played last night against DeAnza College and lost to De Anza in three games 20-30, 25-30, 11-30.

10/17/05:  Chabot Women Volleyball played this weekend against Cuesta College at Cuesta. Chabot lost in four games. Scores were 22-30, 30-22, 30-19, 24-30, 15-17. It was a battle at the end but we just couldn't pull it out.

10/13/05:  Chabot Women Volleyball Team won last night against Skyline College. Chabtot won the First game 30 - 19
Then lost the second game 29 - 31 and won the next two games 30 -21 and 30 -16 to win the match.
Chabot now 2 - 1 in Conference.

10/3/05:  Chabot Women Volleyball Team played Monterey Peninsula on Frdiay, Sept. 30.
Chabot won in three games; 30-26, 30-24, 30-17.

9/27/05:  Chabot Women Volleyball Team played in the Jaguar Classic. There were 16 teams. Chabot played two matches on Friday and two on Saturday:

Fresno City; Lost in 3 games 19-30, 18-30, 14-30
Mendocino; Lost in 5 games 30-24, 28-30, 32-30, 25-30, 12-15

Saturday Results:
Cabrillo; Lost in 3 games; 26-30, 30-32, 24-30
Lassen; Won in 5 games; 28-30, 30-21, 27-30, 30-26, 15-5.
Next Game for the Women Volleyball Team will be against Monterey Peninsula College at Monterey on Friday, Sept. 30. Game Time: 6:30 p.m.
 

9/22/05:  Chabot Women Volleyball Team played Ohlone @ Ohlone. Chabot won in 3 games 30-23, 30-11, 30-24. Rachelle Zemlok led the team with 10 kills and 3 digs. Next game is the tournamet at SJCC ( The tournament will be at Mission college) 2 matches on Fri and two on Sat.

9/19/05:  Chabot Women Volleyball Team lost against San Jose City College on Wednesday night. Game scores: 16 - 30, 13 - 30 and 28 - 30.
On Friday Chabot played against American River College and lost.
And on Saturday Chabot played in the S. J. Delta Tournament and lost again.

9/12/05:  Chabot Volleyball Team played against Diablo Valley College this last past weekend. Chabot lost 21 - 30, 18 - 30 and 18 - 30. Chabot will play again on Wednesday, Sept. 14th against San Jose City College here at Chabot. Game Time: 6:30 p.m.

9/6/05:  Chabot Women Volleyball Team Played their First Tournament this last weekend in the Yuba Volleyball Tournament. Chabot ended up placing 3rd as a team out of 12 teams. Chabot beat College of Alameda in two games, beat Mendocino College in two games and lost Sierra college in two games. Then Chabot went into the Championship bracket and beat Diablo Valley College in three games before losing to Porterville College in two games. Katie Perry was named to the all tournament Team. In case you haven't heard Chabot now has a new Volleyball Coach named Amber Sammons and she is doing a good job. Congratulation to the Chabot Volleyball Team and coach Amber Sammons!
