CLEA Scholarship Application
Information
Dear
Prospective Applicant:
The scholarship is funded through fundraising efforts of
the Association and by supporting individuals dedicated to the educational
achievement of Chabot College students.
Requirements
1.
Scholarships will be awarded to students based on their goals, academic
achievement, two essay questions, financial need and community involvement.
2. Applicants must be entering or continuing students at Chabot College and must
provide enrollment verification in at least six (6) units for the Fall semester
of the upcoming year before disbursement
OR
Must be a
student transferring to a four year Institution in Fall of the upcoming year
3. A resident of Alameda or Contra Costa County.
The CLEA scholarship is effective for the Fall of the upcoming academic year. In
order to receive disbursement of the award CLEA officials will need to verify
student's current enrollment. Recipiants of previous CLEA scholarships are
not eligible. The size and number of
scholarships awarded will depend upon available funds during the application
period. Past awards have ranged from $200 - $1,000.

2. Letter of Recommendation*

Copy of transcripts
*Letter must be from someone other than a family member, i.e. teacher,
counselor, employer, supervisor, clergy, etc.
