The Aspire program offers eligible students in-depth academic support and motivating students to stay in college, graduate and/or transfer to a four-year college or university.

Eligibility

Chabot students must:

  1. Be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen;
  2. Have a need for academic support;
  3. Be one or more of the following:
    1. First Generation College Student;
    2. Low Income (as determined by the federal government);
    3. Eligible for services through the Center for Disability Services.

Services Provided

We provide individual counseling and other services for :

  • Academic support
    • Tutoring and study groups
    • ESL Support
    • College Readiness and Success courses to develop your academic survival skills
    • Priority registration and enrollment assistance
    • Assistance developing your Student Educational Plan (SEP)
    • Transfer assistance
    • Campus visits to local four-year colleges and universities
  • Career & personal growth
    • Career exploration workshops
    • Cultural enrichment activities
