Graduation Requirements for AA/AS Degrees
The program of study leading to the Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.) and the Associate in Science Degree (A.S.) has two primary
components, (1) a focus of study in some field of knowledge (the major) and
(2) a broad exposure to additional subject areas that are designed to prepare
the student to acquire a greater understanding of the self; the physical and
the social world (general education requirements). Students are eligible to
receive an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science Degree after they have
successfully completed an outlined program of study of a minimum of 60 semester
