The APSS Division is home to the Library, Learning Connection, First Year Experience (FYE) Program and Career Pathways Trust (CPT) Grant Programs.

First Year Experience Program (FYE)

Working with General Counseling, the APSS Division enhances student success through the First Year Experience (FYE) Program, the “Front Door” for Chabot’s Pathways Programs. 

FYE provides you, the student, the benefits of:

  • 7 pathways based upon your interests and academic goals
  • Handpicked class schedules
  • Academic support from peer advisors, faculty mentors and classified professionals

Career Pathways Trust Grant

Through the Career Pathways Trust Grant, Chabot College collaborates with K-12 education and industry partners to align pathways in the areas of:

  • Advanced Manufacturing
  • Engineering
  • Information Communication Studies
  • Digital Media

  • Health and Biosciences.

Students benefit by gaining technical skills, knowledge and experience through certificate programs, degree programs, as well as work-based learning opportunities, in a variety of related pathway programs.
