Celebrating Fall 2022, Spring 2023 and Summer 2023 Graduates

WHEN: Friday, May 26

1st Session: 3:30 – 5:00 PM

2nd Session: 6:30 – 8:00 PM

LOCATION: Reed L. Buffington Performing Arts Center, Building 1300

Proof of Vaccination is Not Required for participating graduates and guests

 

How to Participate & Important Dates

By April 1,11:59 PM Pacific Time, students must have applied to graduate by completing their Request your Degree or Certificate to be on the list of eligible graduates.

Chabot College cannot accept Request for Degrees or Certificates after the due date of April 1,11:59 PM Pacific Time.


Afterwards, eligible graduates will receive an email with instructions to RSVP for the Commencement.

This includes students who complete requirements during the following terms:

  • Fall 2022
  • Spring 2023
  • Summer 2023 

Students may schedule an appointment to see a Counselor for questions and to determine when they ready to apply for graduation.

On April 15, eligible graduates will receive an email with instructions to RSVP for the Commencement.

Eligible graduates are students who have submitted their Request for Degree or Certificate by April 1 and was confirmed to have met the requirements for a degree or certificate.

April 18 & 19, 10am-5pm, join us for the 2023 Chabot College Grad Fair at the Bookstore, to pick up your free Cap & Gown.

Grad Images Photographers will be on site to take Graduation photos. Come and have your Graduation photo taken!

Monday, May 8, 11:59 PM Pacific Time, due date for eligible graduates RSVP for the Commencement.
A RSVP is required to participate.

Each graduate will be allowed three guests and tickets can be obtained after completing the RSVP process.
Every guest must have a ticket. Each ticket is unique and can only be scanned once.

Commencement Student Information Booklet

In recognition of your hard work and perseverance in completing your studies during these trying times, Chabot College will provide free cap, gown, and tassel to graduates attending the Commencement.

Regalia Pickup on April 18 and 19, 10 AM – 5:00 PM:

The regalia package can be picked up at the Chabot College Bookstore during the Grad Fair.

Students may purchase other graduation accessories, stoles, etc., directly from the Chabot College Bookstore.

Chabot College will host an in-person Commencement for 2023 in two sessions at the Reed L. Buffington Performing Arts Center (PAC).

Graduates and their guests will also be able to view the Commencement via Livestream. The livestream link will be published in early May 2023.

Please note that all plans are subject to change based on the COVID Safety Team and Alameda County Department of Health COVID-19 guidance.

While a Diploma Cover is provided at the Commencement to all graduates who walk the stage, the actual Diploma will be mailed 8-12 weeks after the Commencement, to the mailing address on file with Admissions and Records.
Student may update their mailing address by submitting a 
Student Information Change form.

Proof of vaccination is not required for graduating students and guests attending the Commencement.

Face mask is optional unless notified otherwise, in accordance with Alameda County Health Department guidelines.
