1. Approval of minutes.
2. Proposals:
    

• History 8 ? Sherri Yeager (online w/optional meetings) ? Sherri's proposal was voted on formally and approved with no reservations. Sherri abstained for obvious reasons (source: email from Zarir 12/26/03).

• Electronics and Computer Tech 62A - 64C: - Nolly Ruiz (hybrids).  Nolly and Wayne Phillips both made their presentations (source:.email from Zarir 2/19).

  Approved with no reservations (source: email from Zarir 12/26/03). Note 2/9/04: Some of these courses were approved at the April 2003 meeting, but at that time many of the courses were under revision and the exact course number was uncertain). Followup email from Kaaren Krueg dated 2/18 confirms that she received the forms.

   

• CSCI 8 and 41 - Desmond Chun (hybrid or online?)

Approved with no reservations (source: email from Zarir 12/26/03)..  Followup email from Kaaren Krueg dated 2/18 confirms that she received the forms.

• Nutrition 7 & 8 ? Ken Grace (online) ? prepare to vote.

Nutrition 7 and 8 were discussed at great length and the voting members moved to approve without reservations (one vote was approve with reservations; one vote abstained). i.e. remove existing reservation before Ken's meeting with the sub committee (source: email from Zarir 12/26/03).  The decision to remove any restrictions from Ken's proposal was decided upon by the voting faculty who were present after a second discussion [Zarir] had with Ken (source: email from Zarir 2/19/04).

Follow-up email from Cynthia 12/18/03: Ken emailed me that he is using discussion groups, so I can attach that email to his proposal so he doesn't need to do anything else at this point on that. Ken's classes, BTW, are cross-listed Nutrition/PHED 57 and 58

Follow-up email from Kaaren Krueg, 2/9/2004:  FYI, Ken Grace's Nutrition/PE 7 and 8 courses were renumbered to Nutrition/PE 57 and 58. The numbering change was necessary because they decided to cross list the course, and there is already a PE 7 and 8.

• Psychology Counseling 13 ? Carey Harbin (online) ? on agenda but not discussed.

Follow-up email from Cynthia 2/4/2004: I have a signed tracking form indicating that Carey's PSCN 13 was approved.
