Chabot Survey Tool

Chabot vStream

This application will allow anyone to create an online survey at Chabot free of charge. Currently, different departments have to spend money annually on a 3rd-party survey tool. With this application, departments and even just individual faculty and staff who may need to create a survey can do so immediately without having to worry about costs. This app will use LimeSurvey.org.

Chabot Faculty Door Cards

Chabot Notify

This application provides a centralized online destination where faculty can post their office hours and students can search and view faculty office hours. If all faculty post their office hours, it would make students' lives easier by making it easier for them to find their instructors' office hours. In addition, faculty can print out their office hours schedule to put on their doors.

This application allows faculty to specify when they will be absent from teaching a class session. Students will be able to view all canceled classes for the current week and be notified by text message of their classes that are canceled. (Standard text messaging rates apply). This way, they won't have to pick up the phone and bother administrative assistants. They also can plan ahead and not drive all the way to Chabot only to find out that their class was canceled. Administrative assistants may no longer need to post notices on classroom doors either thereby saving them time and energy not to mention ink.

Remote Desktop Support

This application will allow students and the general public to get support via instant messenger with different Chabot departments. This application will be powered by LiveZilla.

This application will allow faculty and staff to provide remote desktop computer support to other faculty and staff. It allows users to take control of another person's computer to save time from having to explain things in an email or on the phone or from having to walk across campus.

This application will be powered by one of TeamViewer, Yuuguu, Skyfex or nchsoftware.com.

Mass Email Utility

Chabot Classifieds

This application will allow administrators to send mass emails to a large list of people. It overcomes the problem with Groupwise which limits the number of people you can put in the TO field. Currently, mass emailing is done in batches due to this limitation in Groupwise.

This application will students, faculty and staff to post classified ads targeting the Chabot College community. Posting categories will include textbooks, lost and found, housing (rooms for rent) and jobs among other things.

This application will make it easier for individual departments to post their unit plans and for administrators to find unit plan information.

Chabot Employee Directory Mgmt System

This application will allow faculty and staff to upload Powerpoint slides, video, audio and more to create an integrated presentation where slides progress according to user-defined time points in their audio/video.
