Social Science (General)
An introduction to cultural analysis within and between
cultural groups, both in the United States and throughout
the world. Emphasis is on comparative theory and
methodology. Recognizes the significance of globalization
worldwide, its impact of cultures and treats culture as a
dynamic entity. Prepares students for upper division majors in an array
or subjects where cultural analysis is relevant
including anthropology, geography, psychology, sociology,
education, counseling, social welfare, global studies, peace
studies, multicultural and gender studies.
