How to Complete Homework in CONNECT:
ü
Before attempting
homework, read the chapter and review any resources given.
ü
All
homework problems are selected exercises and Set A Problems at the end of
each chapter, with the exception of chapter 1, which does not have homework.
ü
You should PRINT the homework. Work offline and
then go back to enter answers. We will have some time during lab hours for
you to complete homework.
Use Check my work button on the bottom
left to find errors and correct. Use Save & Exit button on the top
right to end a session, save your work and return to it a later time within
a scheduled due date. YOU CAN CHECK YOUR
WORK AND SAVE AND EXIT AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WISH BUT CAN ONLY SUBMIT
HOMEWORK ONCE WITHIN A DUE DATE.
ü
Use the Submit Assignment button ONLY when you
are ready to submit for grading. After you submit assignment, you will have
access to your work and the correct answers under the report feature but
will not be able to work on it any more. It is almost like handing in your
papers to me.
ü
If you are having
problems understanding any problems and need help, bring the printout to
class to get help. This is what the lab hour is for!
ü
Each assignment will be worth 20 pts when recorded in the grade book.
If Connect shows more than 20 pts possible, then
any points over 20 will count as extra credit.
ü
If you miss the
assignment due date, it will no longer be available. NO EXTENSIONS ARE
PROVIDED.
ü
Homework is always due
at 11:55pm according to the class schedule.
Requirements:
2.
Students are not required to be present during the lab hours.
However, the lab hour is your opportunity to
practice and complete homework assignments, as well as to consult with your
instructor, learning assistant, and peers.
3.
Bring the text and printouts of homework to class each session.
Class time is scheduled for completing some
homework.
4.
You will be completing and submitting assignments that are graded
automatically. You will print each of these blank assignments from Connect
and bring it to every class. Assignments in Connect will always be due by
11:55pm on the day of the next chapter.
However, if homework is followed by a test, it
will be due a night before.
After the due date, the assignment will become
unavailable and no extensions will be provided.
