Personal Background

I currently teach part-time in addition to my full-time job as an Instructional Designer. Therefore, I understand the demands of going to school in addition to other demands (work, family, etc). I was a student at Chabot College and found my years as a community college student to be very rewarding. After earning my A.A. degree at Chabot, I transferred to the University of California, Berkeley for my B.A. and finally to CSU Hayward for my graduate degree. I also hold a certificate in Online Teaching. Although college courses can be demanding, the value of an education is well worth the hard-work.

I am particularly interested in online teaching as it provides a unique medium of communication and works with the changes in technology to help students to develop the essential skill of composition. I appreciate that online classes help to serve a unique demographic of the student population and aids in the ability of those students to further their academic progress despite busy family or work schedules.
