Chabot College "President's Table"
In pursuit of our mission which is “to develop and expend funds to support excellence at Chabot College”, we launched “A Blooming Affaire” in 2004, a fundraising program for the benefit of our Nursing and Physical Education Departments.
This event is a tabletop and garden party concept featuring beautifully designed tables, patterned after Elle Décor, a famous design magazine which hosts an annual fundraiser in New York and has become a magnet for top designers worldwide.
The event, which was organized by community members, was a blooming success raising $30,000 which went a long way in assisting students to complete the nursing program by providing scholarships for books and laboratory equipment and supplies.
