Thank you for making A Blooming Affaire 2008 another astounding success! This year's fourth "Tour of Tables Explosion of Design" added new highlights which allowed for a larger audience and more funding support for Chabot College. This year’s theme: “The American South”. Our event featured live Dixieland jazz, an extended silent auction, Hog Island Oyster Bar, “Pink Lady” specialty drinks. Saturday's luncheon featured a presentation from national representatives of Southern Living at HOME and Southern Living Magazine., leaders in the industry of decorating, entertaining and organizing.

Chabot went at the "Starlight Club"

Guests took a step back in time and joined the Chabot College Foundation for a very special 1940’s USO Experience. The highlight of the evening was the honoring of Dr. Robert Carlson, who is retiring as President of Chabot College after 38 years of dedicated service to higher education.

Guests danced and enjoyed the fabulous l1940s live music of our Chabot College Big Band. They tasted savory appetizers and desserts created by our Host Sponsor, Horatio’s Restaurant.
