Grant Alert Archives

The Forecast of Funding Opportunities is by no means a complete list (although it is well-researched and pretty comprehensive). The intention behind it is to give faculty, staff and divisions enough lead time to plan and develop their projects and proposals. Many of these opportunities are annual so if you miss one this year, it is usually held again at approximately the same time the following year. If you come across any opportunities that you think should be added to this list, please email me at ywu-craig@chabotcollege.edu. Thank you for your interest!

CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY COLLEGES CHANCELLOR'S OFFICE

http://www.cccco.edu/cccco/esed/GrantsNContracts/fss.htm

Deadline: March 27, 2002

The Chancellor's Office Fund for Student Success (FSS) Program supports local and system-wide initiatives involving instruction, student services, and human resources that result in positive student outcomes. Institutionalization Grants and Planning Grants are available in the following program areas:

District Priorities: Supports local college/district institutionalization and planning priorities.

Faculty Development and Support: Funds faculty mentoring programs, teaching and learning centers, and other college-wide faculty and staff development efforts.

Intersegmental Collaboration: Funds graduate student faculty internship programs, teacher preparation pipeline programs for students interested in careers as community college faculty, as well as intersegmental faculty projects that support student transfer and academic preparedness.

Student Equity: Supports research for student equity plan development.

Global Education: Provides funds to infuse international/intercultural perspectives across curricula, student support structures, and professional development practices.

Community Service-Learning: Supports local efforts or regional leadership initiatives to expand community service-learning programs.

Assessment and Accountability Research: Supports the development of successful assessment models that contribute to positive student learning outcomes.

Institutionalization Grants fund three year projects deemed suitable for permanent implementation at the college/district and require increasing match commitment each year. Planning Grants support small, one year grants designed for strategic planning activities in the above program areas which may lead to a future institutionalization proposal. There is no match requirement for Planning Grants.
