Students should be advised on this when scheduling their appointment. Failure to pay a no show fee will be treated according to our policy on unpaid balances, with the exception of collection accounts.

No showing of two (2) consecutive appointments or more can result in the patient being discharged from the student health center and referred out at the provider’s discretion.

Who can use the Student Health Services

In order to receive health care services, each student must:

  •  Pay the student health fee at the time of registration in accordance with state community college regulations. The only exceptions are:
    • Student who are taking classes held only on Saturday or at an off campus site, or
    • Students who rely on prayer for healing in accordance with teachings of a bona fide religious sect, denomination, or organization.

To apply for a waiver, students must provide a statement of such reliance from an official of the sect, denomination or organization to the Office of the Vice president of Student Services. Waiver form is available at the health center. http://www.chabotcollege.edu/Admissions/fees/

  • Present a valid Chabot Student picture ID with current sticker or a copy of current class schedule to the health service personnel.
  • Present a signed permission statement from a parent or legal guardian, if  under the age of 18.

You do not need to have insurance to use Student Health Services as your prepaid student health fee covers many services. However, your student health fee does not cover hospital care, referrals to specialists, dental, vision, or emergency transportation. For these reasons, we strongly recommend you obtain supplemental health insurance.
