As a former language student of several foreign languages including
Portuguese, Italian, French, Latin, and Korean, I believe I can
relate to my students’ struggles when it comes to learning a new
language and all the frustration that sometimes comes with it. In my
classroom, I strive to create a safe community where students are
encouraged to learn about the Hispanic culture as well as the
language. What is truly important to my teaching is to foster an
inviting learning environment for my students by being an opened,
flexible, creative and dynamic instructor.
I have taught Spanish at UCLA, Scripps College, Western University
of Health Sciences, and San José State University. I have been a
full-time Spanish instructor at Chabot College since Fall of 2006.
