Provide drop-in support to students by answering general campus related questions or directing them to appropriate programs and services. Assist students with accurate, helpful information and referrals. Be an ambassador of Chabot College on campus and sometimes in the community.
Attend required peer advisor training class.
Check your file every day you are on campus for new updates and announcements.
Stay abreast of campus deadlines, events and information.
Be punctual for all scheduled peer advising hours. Notify staff as soon as possible if you cannot do your schedule assignment.
Complete and hand in all required paperwork.
Instructor or staff recommendation.
Responsible, dependable, and mature.
Friendly, patient, and sensitive to a diversity of students.
All peer advisors work for pay. There are no volunteers.
Paid peer advisors earn $8.75 an hour and $9.25 after 200 hours of work.
Peer advising hours will be assigned Monday through Thursday 8am to 7pm and Fridays 8am to 1pm.

Submit completed applications to Tammeil Gilkerson in the ASPIRE Office, Building 2300, Room 2325.
Your completed application will be reviewed and you will be contacted regarding next steps.
