About the Library Catalog

The Library Catalog has a record for each of the items that Chabot and Las Positas libraries own.

 

These include:

  • Books

  • Journals

  • Newspapers & magazines

  • Slides, video recordings, and DVD's

  • Music & musical scores

  • and other unique items, such as models (of skeletons, etc.)

Note: You will not find individual articles in the Library Catalog. You will learn how to find them by using a library subscription periodical database described in the next module.  Also, to find and browse electronic journals you will be searching the Journal Portal, instead, which will also be covered in Module 4.
