Online Bookstore FAQs
Students
A: Chabot College is providing free student testing resources (Scantrons, Blue Books and Pencils) through the FRESH Pantry and Pop-up Pantry sponsored by the Student Equity Office.
Please pick up yours in the Library beginning Thursday, May 11 afternoon during regular library hours and at the Welcome Desk in Building 700.
A: It does not matter if you originally purchased/rented your book through the online or physical bookstore.
Selling Back Books
- Create or log in to your bookstore account.
- Click on Menu > Sell Your Textbooks.
- Enter the book ISBN and other info as required to receive your quote and shipping information.
Returning Rentals
If you rented via the online bookstore, simply log in to your account, then go to the rentals section, and select the refund link. Follow the steps on screen, indicate the reason for return, and print your pre-paid shipping label.
If you rented from the physical bookstore, you may return books in person at the former bookstore location.
- Tuesday 5/23 and 5/30 from 10 AM-2:30 PM
- Thursday 5/25 and 6/1 from 10 AM-2:30 PM
You may also go online and print off a return label. It will cost $5.00 to mail back your rental.
Can I Return My Rental to the Library?
There are no drop-off bins for bookstore return rentals, including at the library. You will not receive credit for the return if you drop off the rental at the library.
Do I Need a Receipt?
You do not need a receipt to return a rental because you are already in the Barnes & Noble system by renting the book (in-store or online).
