 Orientation to Online Learning (Self-Paced)

Welcome to Online Learning at Chabot College! Below is a self-paced orientation intended for students who are interested or enrolled in an online or hybrid course. The orientation can be completed/revisited at any time and consists of video demonstrations and step-by-step instructions. Completion of the Orientation may take anywhere from 30-60 minutes. You may also be interested in an on-campus, drop-in assistance.

STEP 1: Review the details of your course(s) in the class schedule

Check/verify the schedule notes for your online/hybrid class(es) in CLASS-Web. Make sure that you find out:

  • Which day does the class begin?
  • Is this a late-start class?
  • Does my course require on-campus meetings?
  • What is the name of my instructor? Many instructors will send their students an email prior to the start of the class. If you have questions, you can locate your instructor's contact information in the College Directory.

STEP 2: Online Student Readiness Tutorials

What is online learning?

Online Student Readiness Tutorials. Topics include:
