Reporting Emergencies, Crimes, Suspicious Activities or Safety Hazards
For emergencies, dial 911 from any phone.
All members of our campus community are expected to share responsibility in
reporting emergencies, crimes, suspicious activities, and safety hazards to
keep our campus safe for all.
All emergencies will be investigated immediately
by Campus Safety staff, including medical emergencies, accidents, or catastrophes.
Crimes against persons and violent crimes will be initially investigated by campus safety personnel and then refered on to the Hayward Police Department. A campus safety officer will investigate crimes against property unless the incident involves a substantial loss or theft of a motor vehicle.
Suspicious activities and safety hazards will
be investigated promptly by the on-duty campus safety officer who will delegate
the appropriate resources to resolve the incident. Interagency coordination
and responsibilities are written pursuant to California Education Code
section
67381.
