Managing your SLOs, SLOs & Program Review, and eLumen Training for discipline coordinators

This training will assist faculty in managing SLOs (CLOs and PLOs), mapping CLOs to College-Wide Learning Goals, mapping CLOs to PLOs, and running reports in eLumen for their respective disciplines. At Convocation, we presented a plan to build “houses” (academic communities of interest) to instill a sense of belief/belonging and to help students achieve their academic goals. This highly interactive session will allow for identifying and discussing what can exist inside houses to truly engage and support students. Using Blackboard in ESL classes/Aligning our curriculum with LPC’s—What will we need to do?

Recent discussions with LPC’s ESL program have sparked a discussion of the potential advantages of developing a shared ESL curriculum with LPC. We will explore the feasibility of this and start to work out details to make it happen. We will also demonstrate how to use Blackboard. Board of Nursing Disciplinary Hearings

Second-year nursing faculty will accompany 40 nursing students to the BRN hearing. This only happens once every 6 months in the Bay Area and we always attend. The students hear from nurses that lost their licenses due to illegal events. Facilitated by Elaine Baiardi, Rudy Cockerham, Farah Mofidi, & Tami Washington
