Getting Started at Chabot College

  Welcome to Chabot College! The Veterans Affairs Administration is authorized by law to provide a wide range of benefits to those who have served their country in the Armed Forces and to their dependents. The Chabot College Veterans Services Office is primarily responsible for administration of veteran educational benefits programs. We look forward in helping you in your academic success!
 
 

Please read important changes to Priority Registration: Effective Summer/Fall 2014 registration, per SB 1456, all students including veterans or service members must have completed college orientation, assessment, and developed student education plan to receive the highest level of priority. Students who are active-duty military, veterans, and/or reservists will continue to receive priority registration if they meet and complete the following requirements:

 
  1. DD-214 with honorable/other than honorable discharge or proof of military status on file with the Chabot Veterans Services Office.

  2. College online orientation.

  3. Assessment.

  4. Student Education Plan.
    Obtain veterans priority appointment referral from Veterans Office.

  5. Maintain good academic standing.

To check your status, log into CLASS-Web and click the Check your Priority Registration Status link under Student Services & Financial Aid tab.

PLAN AHEAD. Veterans priority registration for both summer and fall semester is on April 21, 2015.


Veterans Outreach Services

  • VA Palo Alto Health Care System:
    March 23, 10 am to 2 pm, Bldg. 700 south, 1st Floor, room 727
    Future campus visits: April 7, May 12

    Services provided: Assistance with for VA eligibility and enrollment for medical or mental health services, health examinations, consultations, and medical advices.

  •  Employment Assistance for Veterans:
    March 5, 11 am to 3 pm, Bldg. 700, 1st Floor, room 707 (flyer)
    Services provided: Assistance with any employment related services such as resume writing, interview techniques, and job market trends.
