Weekly Recap Mar 21-26

Fresh off a two-game sweep of City College of San Francisco, the Chabot BASEBALL team is set for a big week in the Coast-Golden Gate Conference. 
The Gladiators (14-7, 5-1) will travel to defending GGC champion College of San Mateo (14-8, 3-3) on Tuesday, and will host CSM on Thursday. Both games will start at 2:30 p.m. 
After that, Chabot will travel to conference-leading Mission (17-5, 6-0) on Saturday. 
The Gladiators rallied for a 7-4 win over CCSF on March 26 at Fairmont Field in Pacifica. Leadoff Cal Stevenson, the center fielder, was 2 for 5 with a double, RBI, and two runs scored. He also worked a spotless 1.2 innings with three strikeouts to get the save. reliever Jacob Knight tossed four no-hit innings to get the win, with six strikeouts and a walk. 
The Gladiators erased a 3-1 deficit with four in the top of the third. Stevenson had an RBI double and scored on an error during the uprising. Jesse Lewis also had an RBI single. Chabot tacked on two more in the ninth as Michael Hida scored on a passed ball and Nathan Kanat scored after a Max Sanderson single.
Chabot received excellent production from the top of the order, Stevenson, Sanderson, Kenny Corey and Michael Echavia combined for seven hits, three RBIs, four runs scored and four walks. 
The Gladiators also beat CCSF (2-18-1, 0-6) 10-6 on Thursday. 
The Gladiators (18-5, 2-4) swept host College of the Desert 9-0 and 8-0 on Saturday in nonconference action. Katrya Traylor had four hits and two RBIs in the 9-0 win.
 In the 8-0 win, Chabot had five hits and capitalized on five Desert errors. 
Traylor, a freshman, leads the young squad with six home runs and 27 RBIs, and Amanda Coley paces the team in hits with 34 and batting average at .479. 
Brenna Lopez and Dakota Targett got the pitching wins in the lopsided doubleheader. 
Chabot is at Cabrillo on Tuesday, and will host Cabrillo on Wednesday. It travels to Ohlone on Thursday. 
After a week off, the Gladiators will compete in three different meets, between Friday and Saturday. 
Conner Mckinnon (800), Leroy Elliott (110 hurdles) and Jaskaran Singh (100) will run in the Stanford Invitational on Friday. Rhomel Clarke (800), Bret Green (10k), David Yeshiwas (10k) and James Lee (1,500) will run in the San Francisco State Distance Carnival on Friday, and the rest of the team will compete in the Chabot Invite on Saturday. 
Sean Talmadge qualified for the NCGA Public Links Championship by firing a 1-over 73 at the Metropolitan Golf Links on Thursday in Oakland. 
The 51st annual NCGA event will be on April 25-26 at Bayonett GC/Poppy Hills. 
Chabot, which is playing in the San Jose Tournament on Monday, will head to Monterey for a competition on Tuesday and Wednesday. 
Daniel Robertson leads Chabot's conference in scoring, Talmadge is second, and Ryan Ortega is third.
