I have AP Tests or took college classes during High School

If you have taken AP Exams, college courses through concurrent enrollment, or dual enrollment courses, you may be able to gain Chabot credit for these courses.

AP Exams

Credit may be earned for Advanced Placement (AP) Exams with scores of 3, 4, or 5. Credit earned at Chabot College may differ from credit granted by a transfer institution, particularly for major requirements, especially STEM majors. Use the following links to determine how credits will be granted. Students are advised to consult with a Chabot College counselor regarding transfer credit for AP scores. STEM students should consult with a STEM Counselor

If you are planning to obtain a degree/certificate and you want your AP scores evaluated and this information included in Degree Works, please submit the Transcript Evaluation form to Admissions and Records.

College Credits through Concurrent Enrollment

If you took college courses through concurrent enrollment during high school, you will need to have an official transcript from the college where you earned credits sent to Chabot College. If you took the courses at Chabot College or Las Positas College, they will already be included in your transcript.

College Credits through Dual Enrollment

Through the credit by examination process, high school students may receive credit at the college level for articulated adult school, high school, and ROP courses. Check the Articulation webpage to see which courses may receive credit.
