Voice Instructor

Soprano Shauna Fallihee is pleased to serve the Bay Area as a performer, voice teacher, and vocal clinician. In addition to teaching at Chabot College, Shauna is on the faculty of City College of San Francisco and Holy Names University. She is currently the Coordinator of Vocal Pedagogy and Master Voice Instructor for the award winning Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choirs.

As a performer, Shauna has been featured with numerous Bay Area ensembles including San Francisco Choral Society, Masterworks Chorale, Albany Chamber Orchestra, Open Opera, and West Bay Opera. She has presented recitals to critical acclaim on the Old St. Mary’s Cathedral Noontime Series. Deeply dedicated to the performance of new music, Shauna has performed world premieres and contemporary works with NothingSet Ensemble, San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra, Opus Project, Wild Rumpus, and Ensemble Mik Nawooj. Since 2006, Shauna has sung with the new music chamber choir Volti. Other ensemble singing engagements include San Francisco Renaissance Voices, Artists Vocal Ensemble (AVE), and American Bach Soloists.

Shauna received her B.M. in Voice Performance (with distinction in performance) from the New England Conservatory of Music. She pursued graduate work in Musicology at the University of New Hampshire and holds an M.M. in Vocal Pedagogy from Holy Names University in Oakland. Shauna is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
