OIR is deeply troubled by incidents of police violence towards Black/African American people. Our aspiration in OIR is to provide research that uncovers structural causes of disproportionate outcomes, so we can support the development of campus policies and practices that create a more just educational system. We will continue to listen to Black community members, educate ourselves on equity issues and strive to be an active part of the solution.
OIR stands in solidarity with our Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander students, colleagues, and members of the community. We condemn racism, hate, and violence against the AA&PI community. Our office is committed to providing research to support the educational journeys of AA&PI students.

VISION
Providing the Chabot community with data that
makes a difference!
MISSION
The mission of the Office of Institutional
Research (OIR) is to produce information that is meaningful and useful
to the public, the college, and to individual college units (academic,
student services, and administrative) for the purposes of inquiry,
planning, evaluation, accountability, and compliance. The OIR
facilitates the collection, validation, production, analysis,
dissemination, and thoughtful use of student, staff, program, and
community data.
PHILOSOPHY
Institutional Research plays an integral role
in the cycle of planning, assessment and improvement by measuring
whether the college and its programs are meeting their goals and
addressing the educational needs of our students.
