I have served with distinction in the CSU-Hayward and Hayward Police Departments, bringing almost three decades of law enforcement experience to the classroom. Throughout my career, I have held a variety of assignments within the patrol, investigations and special operations divisions as an officer, detective, sergeant, and lieutenant.
I am very passionate about law enforcement leadership development and educating future criminal justice professionals. My subject matter expertise is related to human trafficking investigations and crimes involving the commercial sexual exploitation of children. I believe in real-world experience with academic instruction to prepare students for the challenges and responsibilities of careers in law enforcement. My teaching emphasizes ethical policing, community engagement, and evidence-based practices.
I possess a BS in Criminal Justice Administration (Law Enforcement Mangement) and MS in Law Enforcement Executive Leadership.
