Chrisanthy Peñate began teaching at Chabot College in 2025. Chrisanthy’s interest in teaching ESL has its roots in her childhood, when she was an ESL student herself after having migrated to the US from Greece. Before joining Chabot College, she taught English Composition classes at various community colleges in the Bay Area and held a variety of positions supporting international students and scholars. She has an M.A. in English from the University of New Orleans and an M.A. in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages from Notre Dame de Namur University. When not teaching, Chrisanthy likes spending time with her family and friends and playing adventures with her son. FALL 2025 OFFICE HOURS: MW 11:30am-2pm
