A season full of skill and attacking flair ended a bit sooner than the Gladiators would have liked, but injuries and a few close results kept them out of the regional playoffs.
The tough ending came after after a spectacular 8-0 start to the season, when they amassed 27 goals.
Coach Tony Igwe, knowing that his defense was decimated by injuries, was proud of the effort and the quality his team consistently showed.
Outstanding Gladiators goalkeeper Alejandro Cervantes was co-Goalkeeper of the Year in the Coast-North. Defensive midfielder Isaac Mensah and central midfielder Justyn Raygoza were also first-team all-division. Mensah and Raygoza were team captains.
 Juan Lara, a left midfielder, and Mandeep Singh, a sweeper, made the second team. Brandon Sosa, an international student from Guatemala with tremendous attacking skill, received a team certificate as its top goal scorer with nine goals. Sosa, who battled shin splints, and was among the teamís five injured players overall.
The Gladiators (10-6-4) came oh so close to making the playoffs. They tied their final four opponents, including rival Ohlone 1-1, finishing 3-6-4 in conference.
