Eligibility
- Must apply for both Summer and Fall 2023 Term & complete the steps to success.
- Must be a graduating senior, entering Chabot in the fall 2023.
- Complete FAFSA/CA Dream application 2023-2024
- All students are welcome, but preference given to those who are first in their families to attend college (first-generation), Latinx/e, African American, underrepresented communities, or low-income.
- Meet with one of our team members for an interview
STEPS to participate in Summer Bridge
STEP 1: Complete the link: Summer Bridge Application
STEP 2: Schedule an interview with us. Call to make an appointment at (510) 723.6714 from 9:00-5:00pm, Mon-Thur & Fri 9:00am-12:00pm or email: molmedo@chabotcollege.edu
STEP 3: Once accepted to Summer Bridge, select a math course to take in the summer. Your counselor can assist with that decision. See chart below for tentative courses.
STEP 4: Attend one of Chabot’s SOAR DAYS to help with completing the steps of success to make you eligible for priority registration. This gives you “dibs” on selecting classes before they fill up.
STEP 5: Attend the Summer Bridge Orientation on 7/13/23.
Note: If you miss a SOAR Day, we can assist El Centro with any of these steps. Come by 700-South, Monday—Thursday, 9:00-5:00pm, Fridays 9:00-12:00, or call 510.723.6714.

Week 1: July 17-20, Mondays-Thursday (field trip or motivational activity TBD either Thursday evening or Fridays)
Week 2: July 24-28, Monday-Thursday (field trip or motivational activity)
Week 3: July 31-August 3 & End of Summer Bridge Celebration: Friday, Aug. 4th
Why Summer Bridge?

Student Outcomes:
At the end of the program, student will:
- Complete a comprehensive student educational plan
- Understand how financial aid works
- Develop and practice key study skills, such as note-taking, time management, and basic writing skills
- Review and develop foundational math skills and concepts?
- Learn about support services, learning communities, tutoring, and library orientation
- Explore and practice using our online platforms, such as checking email, CLASS-Web, and Canvas
- Develop a network of support from other students, staff, counselors, and professors
Course Schedule & Lunch
Tentative Courses, subject to change, depending on instructors’ availability. Students need to take the Workshop Series, the PSCN23 Course and one math class to meet the student outcomes.
