PACE: Program for Adult College Education

Earn your Associate's Degree:

    • A.A. in Behavioral Sciences - Study a combination of Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology
    • A.A. in Liberal Arts Option I (AA/GE) or II (CSU/GE), Emphasis 3: Social and Behavioral Sciences
    • A.A.-T in Sociology - Focus on social structures such as families, race/ethnic groups, and culture
    • A.S.-T in Business Administration - General Education classes may be taken via PACE, Business courses are not offered as PACE courses but are generally available at Chabot either online or evenings; see "Business Majors & PACE" information (in navigation list, left column)
    • A.S.-T in Early Childhood Development - General Education classes may be taken via PACE, ECD classes are not offered as PACE courses but are generally available at Chabot either online or evenings; see separate "Early Childhood Development Major & PACE" (left column)
    • Nursing - PACE is not designed for Nursing Majors. However, if a student is at the very beginning of their academic journey, some General Education classes required for the Nursing AA or Bachelor's degree may be taken via PACE while students take a science class each semester (which are prerequisites for Nursing programs) and which are not offeredi n PACE. Note: a separate Nursing Application is required prior to Admission to Chabot Nursing Program, which is a full-time daytime program at Chabot College. See separate "Nursing Majors & PACE" information (in navigation list, left column).
    • Other majors are available; additional classes may be required.

Then transfer to CSUEB PACE for a B.A. Degree in:

    • Human Development
      • Interdisciplinary combination of Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology fields
      • Leads to jobs working with people of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds
      • Business Minor is available in Summers (Micro & Macroeconomics are needed outside of PACE)
      • Offered Online or in-person in Hayward or Concord
    • Liberal Studies
      • Well-rounded college education useful for jobs in business, government
      • Can lead to Multi-Subject Teaching Credential for grades K-8 
      • Business or Human Development Minor or Organizational Leadership Option available (micro- & macroeconomics. are needed outside of PACE for Business Minor)

OR transfer to any CSU for a B.A. or B.S. Degree 
in a major of your choice (classes in your major outside of PACE may be required; in some cases you can use your major classes in place of some PACE classes)

OR transfer to a B.A./B.S. Program designed for working adults, including:

    • CSU Online various degrees offered
    • CSU Sacramento Bachelor in Career & Technical Studies (online)
    • Holy Names University (Oakland) Majors in: Business Marketing or Management, Liberal Studies (Education), Psychology, RN to BSN
    • St. Marys (Moraga) BA in Leadership & Organizational Studies
    • University of Phoenix various degrees offered
    • University of San Francisco - offering bachelors degree in Management (BSM); locations in SF/Pleasanton/Sacramento/San Jose
    • ASU Online various degrees offered
