Alternate Path to Calculus

Fall Semester Only

This 21 to 22 Fast Track in Mathematics allows students to complete 10 units of mathematics courses (MTH 21 College Algebra and MTH 22 Trigonometry) in a single semester. This combination of mathematics courses can be taken with either a single 4- or 5-unit science class or up to two 3-unit courses for a maximum course load of 16 units.

This is a challenging semester where students will take MTH 21 during the first half of the semester and MTH 22 the last half. In Fa24, each math class meets four days a week: MTuWTh 1:15-3:50 pm. To be successful, students will also need to devote time to the courses outside of the classroom on a daily basis and make available time in their schedule to attend office hour, drop-in tutoring, and study group as needed.
