Nicholas A. Moore is a 4th generation firefighter raised by a family of public servants in Columbus, Ohio. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management at The Ohio State University, specializing in public education, GIS (digital mapping), and engineering. His diverse body of work is rooted in wildland firefighting with the US Bureau of Land Management in Wyoming & Colorado, and with the US Forest Service in Humboldt, California. Through his work in public parks, science museums, and after school programs, Nick has become a passionate educator who meets students where they’re at and empowers them to become their best selves. As a freelance software engineer, he built websites to solve real problems and is particularly excited about Fire Finder, a web tool designed to make wildfire information easy for everyone to access. In his free time he enjoys playing & watching sports, listening to music, drawing cartoons, hiking & camping, powerlifting, reading, and astronomy.
