The Guardian Scholars Program (GSP) was created to ensure that youth transitioning from the foster care system have the help, resources, and support services they need to succeed at Chabot College.

Program Goal

Our goal is to support students who are or were in Foster Care and increase the number of students that successfully graduate and/or transfer from Chabot College.

Eligibility

In order to receive support from the Guardian Scholars Program (GSP), you must be enrolled or in the process of being enrolled at Chabot.
You must also be either a current or former:

  1. Foster youth, or
  2. Ward of the court, or
  3. Kinship care placed youth.
  4. Foster Care Letter of Verification (we can help you request letter)
