Counseling Services
Counselors are available to assist students in identifying, clarifying, and reaching their educational and career goals. Counselors provide confidential Academic, Transfer, Career, and Personal counseling services.
TYPES OF STUDENT
New Students: For new Chabot student in Summer/Fall 2024, and have never attended college – sign up for a First Semester Planning Session.
Continuing & all other students: Visit drop in counseling (in-person and virtual available) or schedule an appointment during our hours.
Prospective Student: You need to apply and become a Chabot student. Upon receiving your student W# you may access services.

SUMMER 2024 SCHEDULE
Join a drop-in session via in-person, by phone call or zoom meeting. For a zoom meeting, click on the blue time links in the chart below.
Please note during Summer 2024 Session we will only be scheduling appointments for Academic Probation 2, Financial Aid Appeals, and Dismissals. *At the start of the semester, from August 19th - September 2nd, the counseling center will not be holding zoom drop-ins due to the high volume of students at the start of the semester.*

Counseling Appointments
Appointments are available for either in-person or online.
An appointment session is up to 60 minutes long.
- Long-term, comprehensive student education plan (SEP) (2+ semester plan)
- Evaluation of progress toward graduation or transfer
- University transfer planning
- Career/Major Exploration
- Probation 2/Dismissal status (Probation level 1 students click here)
- Evaluation of transfer credit from other colleges and universities
- Financial Aid education plan needed for financial aid appeal
- TAG – Transfer Agreement Guarantee Review for UC transfers
- Associate Degree for Transfer – AAT or AST degree planning
- Career Guidance and counseling
- Personal or Crisis counseling
