The Puente Project is a program that began here at Chabot over 20 years ago
and is now at over 100 high schools and community colleges throughout the state
of California. It is designated for students who are interested in transferring
to a four-year university and the English course has an emphasis on Latino writers
and issues. Students joining will have an opportunity to take advantage of all
the resources Puente provides such as: a one-on-one with a counselor, university
tours, guest speakers and scholarship information.
