Front Desk Counseling

Chabot Counseling offers Front Desk Counseling to provide ongoing access to counseling services by expert Counseling Faculty members who help students with questions about their academics, careers and general questions about navigating the college system. Front Desk Counselors may refer students to schedule an appointment when needed and available. Counseling appointments tend to schedule 3-4 weeks in advance, so students should take advantage of asking questions of the Front Desk Counselors as often as needed. Prerequisite Challenges & Overrides, Petitions (to repeat courses, for excess units, etc.) and other forms may also be obtained and submitted at the Counseling Front Desk.

Students with questions about their next semester course selections should bring a copy of their transcript(s) with them to the Front Desk. Please visit the Appointments page for guidelines on scheduling and materials required.
