Eligibility to apply for the Chabot College Counseling Memorial Scholarship MUST include a clear commitment by the student to pursue a career in Professional Counseling OR Professional Social Work..
All applicants MUST have completed a minimum of 24 CSU and/or UC transferable units at Chabot College AND have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in all collegiate level work (Chabot plus all other colleges and/or universities attended previously.)
All applicants MUST have included
in the minimum 24 units noted in #2:
English 1A or the first term transferable composition course with “C” or
higher, a transferable math course with “C” or higher, and one of the following
courses with “B” or higher: Psych 1, PSCN 1, Soc 1, or
Anthro 3 OR Coursework to complete the PSCN Certificate for the Service Provider
at Chabot College.

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and MassMutual will be awarding in up to $5,000 for students who are selected to this scholarship. Students will be awarded the funds during the 2009-2010 school year.
Program is open to African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander American, and Hispanic Students
Be a sophomore, junior or senior enrolled FULL TIME at a U.S. accredited college or university
Be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident of the U.S.
Have a min. GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Students must reside in one of the following Metropolitan areas: Atlanta, Houstin, Los Angeles or San Francisco
Students must be majoring in: Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Math, and Statistics

The C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to students enrolled at a California College or University for professions which are centered on or support a career in real estate.
Scholarships are awarded to high school graduates, GED recipients, community college students, students attending a four-year college or university, and students accepted into a postgraduate education or credential program. The scholarships are dedicated to recognizing the Hispanic/Latino culture and the education of Hispanic/Latino students.
The applicant must be of Hispanic heritage as defined by the U.S. Department
of Education.
The applicant must be a graduating senior, past-year GED recipient, community
college student, transferring community college student, student attending a
four-year institution, or a student accepted into a post-graduate program or
teacher credential program.
The applicant must be a resident of Alameda County.
The applicant will be evaluated on the following criteria, in order of
importance:
Financial Need
Scholastic Record
Essay
Interview
The applicant must plan to attend an accredited community college, university or
approved technical or vocational school.
