For those just starting out in screenwriting this site will provide some insight into how screenwriting should be approached. Although this site is mostly opinion based, the opinions are coming from a professional int the field of screenwriting. The author Charles Deemer is an accomplished playwright who holds an MFA in Playwriting and has won awards as well as published hundreds of articles, essays, and stories. Needless to say he can be considered an authority on this subject. Charles Deemer exhibits strong feelings for what his readers need to know about screenwriting but doesn't seem to show any bias. his main intention for this site is to inform rather than to sell although there is a link to his next online class. The site is sponsered by the Geocities which is a popular hosting site for personaal webpages. The site was last update on December 23, 2002.

This is a very helpful website to provide a first time screenwriter with some guidance. All the information provided on this site is specifically designed to inform it's reader of the proper way to write a screenplay. The site is sponsered by The Writers Store which is a popular store geared for writers and is based in Los Angeles. Althought there is no specific author attached to this website, it provides some very insightful information. From my knowledge of screenwriting the information here is accurate. the site has a number of topics to choose from and even contains a gloassary of common terms used in the screenwriting world. The site does have a number of advertisements off to the side but it does not deter the reader from the main goal which is to increase ones knowledge. There is no way of telling when the site has been updated. However because the information provided never changes that is the reason it is not modified regularly.
