The TEAS was developed to measure basic essential skills in academic content area domains for Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English and Language Usage. These entry level skills were deemed important for nursing program applicants by a panel of nursing program curriculum experts. The TEAS is a 170-item, four-option, multiple-choice assessment. It is not required to take the test prior to applying for the Chabot College Nursing (RN) program. The test will be given to any selected applicant that has not already taken the test. Selected applicants and alternates will be notified by mail date, time and location of the test.
Fall 2009 - We will be offering the TEAS (test only) on December 11th 8:30 - Noon and December 12th 8:30 - Noon and 12:30 - 4:00 Room 1602, Building 1600. Online payment of $25 on day of exam is required. (This payment will be made on-line directly to ATI testing). Reservations will be taken after November 15th for the test dates. Please email nurse@chabotcollege.edu if you would like to take the TEAS. Include your name, phone number and student ID # in the email. Space is very limited. Books should be purchased directly from ATI Testing.
Spring 2010 - Test will be offered on May 22 8:30 - Noon, 12:30-4 and May 25th 6-9 PM Classroom TBA. All selected students who have not taken the exam will be scheduled one of the 3 test times. All incoming Advanced Standing or LVN who have not taken the exam should register for one. Registration for test will open May 1, 2010.
We will be offering a online Nursing 87 preparation class in the late Spring 2009. Please check ClassWeb for Class Registration Class begins on April 12, 2010.
